And still, the anxiety comes back. The tension stays. The peace slips away before it ever settles in.
It’s not your fault. And it’s not a faith problem.

Why Peace Comes and Goes

You’re not imagining it. The calm you feel after a good prayer time or a deep breath really does fade. And that’s not because you’re doing something wrong.
Think of it like a path through the woods. Your nervous system has worn a deep trail toward stress—walking it so many times that it became automatic. A single calming moment is like stepping off that path for a breath. It helps. But the old path is still there, waiting.

This isn’t failure. It’s not a lack of faith. It’s just how bodies work.

Calming tools are beautiful. But they touch the surface. They quiet the moment. What they can’t do is teach your body a new way home.

That requires something gentler. Something repeated. Something safe enough that your body starts to believe: maybe I don’t have to stay on guard anymore.

Your body isn't broken. It learned to protect you.

The tension you carry, the racing thoughts, the exhaustion that won’t lift—these aren’t signs that something is wrong with you. They’re not signs of weak faith or spiritual failure.
Your body learned to stay alert. It was doing its job—keeping you safe in a world that didn’t always feel safe.

The beautiful truth? What was learned can be gently unlearned. Not by forcing. Not by trying harder. But by giving your body what it’s been waiting for: repeated experiences of safety.

Like a child who’s been running all day finally climbing into a parent’s lap—your nervous system can learn to settle. To trust. To rest.

Hi, I'm Kirsten

I know what it’s like to love God deeply and still feel like peace is out of reach. For years, I carried anxiety in my body while wondering what I was doing wrong spiritually.
It wasn’t until I discovered how the nervous system works—and how to work with it, not against it—that everything changed. Not overnight. But gently. Surely.
Now I help other Christians find that same path: one where faith and physiology work together, where healing doesn’t require pushing, and where peace becomes something your body knows how to hold.
The Peace Process is the framework I wish I’d had years ago. I’m honored to share it with you.
